Use of Recorder in Musicotherapy - Žilka's Method

This thesis deals with Žilka's method - the use of recorder in musicotherapy. It consists of the basic facts about the influence of sound and healthy breathing on human's mind and body. It describes life and activities of Czech flute player and music teacher Václav Žilka, who brought the recorder to light in the 2nd half of 20th century. Introductory part of the thesis focuses on historical background. The practical part mentions the Žilka's method that includes the analysis of flute practice book Veselé pískání - zdravé dýchání, practical comments, breath exercises and musico-educational projects for children. The example of breath exercise and chronology of Žilka's life is an important appendices. Key words: Recorder, musicotherapy, children, respiratory diseases.
Possibilities and importabce of musicotherapy in special education

This thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part is dealing with the topic of musicotherapy, history and the development of the field, the methods and techniques. It also deals with musicotherapy within the special pedagogy field. The thesis is dedicated to the topic of the infuence, importace and function of music in the human life. The thesis describes the use of musicotherapy in children with autism spectrum disorder, severe and moderate mental disability and combined disability in the Czech republic. The thesis summarizes therapeutical functions of music and possible types and methods of therapy applied in musicotherapeutical practice. Practical part contains two case studies of elementary special school pupils who attend group musicotherapy in České Budějovice. The thesis also includes methodical description of this project, specifically analysis of documents, interviews and recordings from the observation of the musicotherapeutical sessions. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to complete theoretical knowledge of the thesis' topic and, based on this, to describe and determine the influence of musicotherapy on experiencing of pupils' with moderate and severe mental disability. In the design of the case study, there is further described the area, on which the researched investigation is aimed in the practical part of this thesis.

Sense perception of people with autism

SUMMARY: Aim of my bachelor thesis is typology of autism spectrum disorders and use of musicotherapy for these people. I have achieved the aim by using scientific literature, consultations with specialists and by personal experiences. After studying the literature I have reached very positive conclusion. Musicotherapy leaded by specialists has considerable impact on some people with autism spectrum disorders.
Musicotherapy in elderly people

This bachelor thesis investigates the influence and the effect of musicotherapy treatment method in the elderly. Method was used at the St. Anežka?s retirement home in Velký Újezd and also at the Retirement home in Budíškovice. The aim of this thesis is to find out if seniors utilise this method and in which form is it realized. The theoretical part is devoted to the forms, directions and types of the therapy and to the seniors themselves, their roles, needs and adaptations. Furthermore senior facilities, therapists and their profession are described in the theoretical part. The practical part consists of respondent case reports which were obtained by standardized personal interviews. The results are compared with data from available literature.
